This too will pass
the sages say
and earth and heaven will pass away
and all will be revealed
and all will be much more than
we thought it would be
and all will be much less
and the time and tide that
waiting for no man
sweeps our feet from under us
will wash us up on the shore of eternity
and standing before the throne
all will be revealed
and all will be much more than
we thought it would be
and all will be much less
and this too will have passed
and this too will have become part of the whole
which all know is greater
than the sum of its parts
and the promise will be fulfilled
and there will be no more tears
and there will be no more pain
and we will see clearly
what the dark glass concealed
and our hearts will sing
as your glorious light
fills our eyes and warms our hearts
and this too will be gone forever
and forever will be the place
where at last we dwell with you
forever

The view makes me dizzy

So many possibilities
So many temptations
My head spins at the prospect
Bracing my feet to run
I find the ground
Firm and unyielding
